This is the only dinner roll recipe you will ever need! They turn out so soft and fluffy! With only a few simple ingredients and some patience, you can make these at home using a stand mixer or just knead it by hand. These are perfect to serve at your Thanksgiving and Christmas parties.

A Thanksgiving feast is just not complete without some form of homemade bread slathered with butter or cinnamon/honey butter. This recipe is quite simple but does require some patience as the dough needs time to rise correctly in order to achieve that big and fluffy dinner roll we all love so much!
What You Will Need:
milk- 110 to 112°F
active dry yeast-
sugar- granulated
egg- room temperature
butter- softened
flour- bread flour
salt-
You want to start by combining the warm milk, yeast and sugar in the bowl of your stand mixer. Allow the yeast to bloom for 5 to 7 minutes before continuing.
Next you want to add in 4 cups of flour, egg, butter, and salt. Using the dough attachment, mix on low until everything is combined well. Add in the rest of the flour as needed to create a soft dough. Knead on low for 5 to 7 minutes, the dough should pull away from sides, if it gets sticky just add a smidge more flour.
Form the dough into a ball and place it into a well-oiled bowl and cover with a clean towel. Let it rest for an hour or until it has doubled; if your kitchen is warm it may not take as long, if its cooler it will take longer. It helps if you put it in a warm place like in the oven with the light on- just don't forget about it and turn the oven on then!!
When the dough has doubled, punch it dough and give it a gentle fold, divide into 12 equal pieces and let them rest for 5 minutes. Shape into little balls and place into a buttered 9x13inch baking dish. Cover with your towel again and let them rise in a warm place until they have tripled in size- this is very important if you want a fluffy and soft dinner roll!!

When your rolls are big and puffy, transfer to your preheated oven to bake at 350°F for 20 to 22 minutes until they are beautiful and golden. Cool slightly before serving.
These are fantastic fresh from the oven, but they stay soft if you store them in an airtight container.
