Queso Blanco is a delicious white cheese dip that can easily be made at home. This creamy and rich recipe tastes just like the queso from Mexican restaurants! Perfect for dipping, and a great addition to all of your favorite Mexican dishes.

Mexican food is one of our all-time favorite foods! Whenever we visit a Mexican restaurant, we always start with a bowl of queso as an appetizer. There's nothing better than stuffing your face with cheese and crunchy tortilla chips while chatting about everyday life!
During a recent movie night, I was making nachos, and my husband suggested adding homemade queso to them. I was already making nacho cheese sauce, but I thought it was a great idea for later so I found a recipe to try. We think it tastes just like the queso from restaurants!
Ingredients you will need:
butter-
onion- finely diced
garlic clove- minced
milk-
white American cheese- cut into cubes
diced green chilies- undrained
salt and pepper-

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until softened and just beginning to caramelize. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Next, you want to reduce the heat and add in the milk, and half of the cheese, stir until cheese is melted.

Add the rest of the cheese, continue cooking until bubbly whisking constantly. Next you want to add in the diced green chilies, salt, and pepper. If it's too thick add in some more milk, whisk to combine, and remove from heat.
